This independent, debut CD was recorded
over a two-year period at Bullfrog Studios in Vancouver,
where Danielle also worked as a receptionist. She managed to gain the
attention of local producers and musicians, including members of Spirit
of the West, Lava Hay, Matthew Good,
and Blue Rodeo, as well as members of Sarah
McLachlan and Barney Bentall’s bands,
making me, myself & i an all-star project.
Falling into the hands of Rita
McNeil, Danielle’ s debut CD earned her a spot on the
hit CBC show Rita and Friends as well as an invitation
to perform at the Calgary leg of Lilith Fair in 1998.

Danielle and Jenny Allen co-wrote the song Matthew’s Birds that appears on this disc.

Danielle sang background vocals on the track Normal.
